We have been struggling with a main sewer line backup for several days. I have been in touch with about a dozen plumber and/or rooter companies. Several of them came out. Not one of them could help me.nnThe guys that my home warranty company sent out just made a huge mess and didn't help me at all. They quoted hundreds to thousands of dollars to dig up my back yard and start replacing pipe. At least they left without charging for the service call.nnOne of the big-name companies quoted me between $367 and $1300 to clear it. I was desperate but ultimately turned them down.nnFinally, I was able to get Brian from iRooter out here. He was absolutely fantastic. He helped me locate the pipe in the backyard and tried to get to the source of the problem. Then he used the smaller of his sewer cable machines to clear the clog from the crawlspace (nobody else had equipment that would fit in there). He ended up hitting mud. So I have a busted pipe. But he did open it up and it's going to work until I get a plumber out to fix the pipe. He even offers a 30-day warranty. Due to the broken pipe, it is limited to only one free follow-up visit (which is still really great). He charged me $100. Amazing. Too bad he doesn't do actual plumbing work.
