Plantation Agriculture Museum

I was surprised by this museum. I expected to bust through it in an hour. Instead I found a very thoughtfully laid out State Park. The museum store is cleverly laid out like a general store. The interior exhibits are well curated; I found the signs to be informative, but brief. The collection of antique tractors is a treat! We loved being able to pick little pieces of cotton and soy from the example plots planted between buildings.nnMy favor part was the baling building that had all the original machinery in place to be viewed, as if the machines could be started back up at any time.

Great place to learn some history of agriculture. Also makes a wonderful place for photos.

Must see. Self-guided tour. Lots of signs explaining the site. It was really educational.

Many interesting and informative exhibits.

Its so unreal how far this country has grown ..also this place has the oldest bale of cotton in north america ..i touched it .lots of hands on things and out buildings and trains ..cotton gins .and balers
