Old Independence Regional Museum

I was amazed at the amount of historical and genealogical materials in their collection. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. My 8 year old granddaughter was with me and loved the interactive museum and staff and did not want to leave. Batesville is incredibly lucky to have such a valuable resource.

As far as small local museums go this has to by and far be one of my favorites for how much effort they put into putting on free community wide events. I go to everything they have to offer and my daughter always has a blast

Local history all in one place. The children loved the exhibits and the staff was exceptional. Definitely a must see for locals and visitors.

Interesting place, didn't get to look around much because I was there for a training seminar but I will definitely be back.

It was a nice little museum focusing on the history of a large part of the eastern Ozarks and even into the delta area.
