Our reservation was for 7 days and we left day 2. We knew the unit was outdated, but what bothered us was the deteriorating toilet bowl, the aroma of marijuana filling the unit and the several times we lost power. We also could not get ahold of anyone who worked the property. We arrived two hours before the office closed and nobody was to be found. Called all numbers listed on our reservation and couldn’t reach anyone. Thank goodness for the security guard. The amenities were great and the view was beautiful, but the good definitely did not outweigh the bad.

Great staff, great rooms, great service!! Me and some friends stayed at SSLR this summer! Great experience and room was spacious and clean.

Very nice resort and it was exceptionally clean. Because of COVID, we didn't have any contact with the staff, but they were very helpful during our Sunday check-in over the phone.

South Shore Lake Resort is going downhill they are not keeping up the maintenance and repairs on the resort but yet we pay our yearly maintenance fees each year. The resort is in a great need for major repairs....
