I had rented a house in Manzanita over the Labor Day week knowing there could be a chance I had to cancel it last minute. I purchased insurance to make sure we would be covered for any loss, which a week on then Oregon Coast comes at a high price. Unfortunately we did need to cancel and we’re over the 45 days & canceled 40 days prior thinking we would be ok. Well that wasn’t the case and unless you have a death in the family the purchase of the insurance doesn’t cover anything. I had sent a response to Manzanita Beach Getaway letting them know the insurance didn’t cover our cancellation and that we would rather rebook. I haven’t received a response or even an offer for reimbursement knowing over that busy holiday weekend the home was probably rebooked. Very disappointed and mad we lost a lot of money, lesson learned. I would have given ZERO if I could.nnADD- miscommunication with Rental company not receiving my request. They are trying to make it right BUT make sure if you take out traveling insurance it will cover “life” events, CSA was who we bought the policy through.

We have rented three different houses over the last year. They are always very clean. Easy electronic locks. Friendly rental company they are my go to place to search for trips to the beach.

This area is very nice and the residents are polite.
