Washougal Police Department

Lived in Washougal for 4 years. Only had to use the police there twice. Both times Officer Day was the responding officer. The first issue was a guy actively breaking into my neighbors and I's vehicles. Officer day was very prompt and was able to catch the guy which resulted in a conviction for like 13 home robberies.nnThe second issue was a teenager speeding down the road and almost hit me. I threw a soda bottle at his car (dumb I know) which almost resulted in an altercation. Officer Day was called by the other party and responded.nnAll issues were dealt with in a very professional and speedy manner. I will second that speeding on neighborhood streets is a problem in Washougal. We petitioned the city for speed bumps and all they did was put up a temporary visual speed cart. The Police department would increasingly sit on our street corner after the complaint and wrote speeding tickets so KUDOS.

I disagree comletely- I had an incident where the IQ credit unions atm took my paycheck and blinked and went dark. My card and paychck now hostage I was Panicking. I called IQ bank only to find out they have nobody to report a lost card to all week, so i disabled the machine slightly so my card wouldnt spit out a few hours later {dumb move btw}- but the officer who ticketed me a day later was incredibly respectful, allowing me to meet him at the station instead of having another patrol car visit to my home. I do wish they would ticket the ever increasing speeders here on the main streets however. I've been here almost 20 yrs and the amount of 60+ in a 35mph zone is insane the last few years.

inbred white men that break the law and hurt people

The cops in this town will harass you if you have out of state plates, also you will never get cut a break on anything you do wrong.
