Best place to learn about Greers Ferry Lake and Dam. Staffed with friendly people and many free guide books and maps of the area. Short film with seating available to view about the area. Sometimes has small local displays such as beautiful quilts from local crafting clubs. Easy to visit the Visitors Center, then the JFK overlook and save the fish hatchery or Collins Creek hike for last. All are within 2 minute drive of each other and make for a nice morning or early afternoon visit. Check hours as they change depending on season.
The people here were curious and informative. We appreciated there advise on things to go see and do around the area. I of course loved the flowers as well.
Lifetime of memories in here. Little dated but well kept.
Nice place to learn history but needs some updating as it hasn't changes it forever.
Nice and cool in the summer with great info about the area.
