Zimmerman House Museum

My Husband and I volunteered here about 5 or 6 years ago and had a blast!! It is still an AMAZING bit of history and a FABULOUS place to go. The gardens are beautiful and the keepers do a wonderful job of keeping EVERYTHING in perfect condition!! Hopefully we can all work together to keep it here for MANY more years!!

Yeah, it's a small place and the garden isn't as lush as I would have liked it, but it was an interesting house. Full of history and tidbits and trinkets from the past. If you're looking to take a step out of your busy life and take a tour for an hour, I'd recommend this place. The guides there are wonderful and so pleasant to speak with AND you can take home some pears and apples from the trees around the property. Free fruit is always a plus in my book.

Great photography location, have done photos for over 10 weddings at this location.

I went here last summer and found a true representation of early life in the 3-4 generations of home and dairy life in the river valley. If you care about our local past you'll come visit, and support the restorations needed. I was inspired to support this non profit on the National Historic Register. Enjoy the original garden area and wonderfully dressed tour guides!

Wonderful place to check out, the society that does the tour of the home is very thorough and welcoming and they even said it was ok to pick from the fruit trees outside, so that the fruit doesn't go to waste.
