Captain's Galley Fish and Chips

The Best. Cod. Ever. We tried this place on a whim because it was convenient and then ended up going out of our way to go back as often as possible. The breading is light, the seasoning unique but incredibly good. Even our 2-year-old who usually disdains fish couldn't get enough--he even ignored the French fries in favor of more fish! The service is great, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend highly enough, this is definitely somewhere I'll visit every time I'm in PDX!

Wow, a little gem of a place. I ordered the combo (select 3) as I had never been there before. I had Cod and Oysters x2.nIt was fantastic. Not greasy at all. Very fresh. The red sauce is great, with just the right amount of kick.nI will become a frequent visitor.

Highly recommended! I’m not a huge fan of any fish but gladly eat fish from the captains gallary. The food is great, prices are great, and the service/friendliness is amazing!

Excellent! We’ve driven past this place millions of times & finally stopped today! Very nice family that owns & operates! I had the delicious fish & homemade chips (yum) and my hubby had the fish sandwich, which he loved! We will definitely be back on a regular basis! I can’t wait to try the clam strips & chowder next! Yesterday I went and tried the clam chowder after driving by and seeing the sign about a million times and it was SO worth it. Some of the best clam chowder I've had! I also got some of their fried asparagus and it was also amazing. I'm actually taking a friend here today for lunch because I was so impressed yesterday! Thanks Captains Galley! You guys are amazing.
