I took my daughter to get a tint to silver. The stylist (brittany) I believe, didnt seem very friendly to begin with, missed sections of her hair completely, left chemical in her hair that I had to wash out after she got off work. She had to go directly to work after her appointment and hadn't realised there was chemical left in her hair until it dried into clumps. She had chemical burns on her scalp. To top it all off her hair is now purple in places. I left messages for the management and my calls were never returned. Essentially my daughter paid $100 to get treated badly, get burns, and have her hair tinted purple in places and in other places not tinted at all. I'm not sure HOW you could make this right. I'm STILL waiting to be contacted

I took my son to get a fade, so 6 years after they completely messed up my oldest son here (the outline on his forehead looked like steps! After I said don’t outline his forehead.) I gave them another chance. I was told by another hair salon to go here, that they were great at fades, that one of the managers was awesome. Well, my son has chunks of hair missing , you can see the lines, his fade was missing the fade, And his outline, oh my. I asked for a 0 on the sides, thank goodness she didn’t listen, that way I am able to have it fixed. There’s squiggles on the front when I comb it down. He doesn’t even move, he always sits still through his haircuts too. So it wasn’t that.nnI will give her that She was as sweet as can be, so I didn’t even dare to complain to her. 1. She was too nice. 2. I did not want them to mess with his hair anymore.nnnever never betraying my hair stylist again. Never again!!!!! Now I’m sitting at my usual hair salon in hopes that they can fix it.nnLesson learned.

I'm kind of super irritated because I asked for a blonde ombre going for my natural hair color to a Barbie doll blondes but instead of actually giving me an ombre she decided to give me highlights when I never even asked for a highlights. She never did my hair in ombre all she did was highlights blonde highlights. I also asked for layered bangs and she gave me bangs that makes me look like those guys off of Wayne's world film....

Only got an extra star because the cut was great. The highlights, however, were not. Had to go back the same day to be fixed and it still wasn't right. I also spent extra for a ‘special color’ highlight which didn’t last one washing. When I contacted the Smartstyle customer service I was offered a refund (or another redo - my choice). Sent them pictures of all the problems and asked for a refund of the color treatments. I never heard back. I love when I can find a stylist that can cut my thin, fine hair but that will be my last visit to any Smartstyle.

I loved hair color. However, cut came our shorter than I asked for. Growing to like it as the weeks pass, however I will be much more specific next time.
