The waiting staff were friendly, the kitchen staff produced great food under tough hot conditions. The owner was clearly under pressure but a smile would have made you feel more welcome. I guess its been a long season.

Very nice. As others have mentioned, a little on the higher price but big servings and very tasty. The seafood spaghetti was packed with.... Seafood very nice. The prawn salad was good but bit too salty and missing mangos

Staff were attentive, setting was lovely, but the most amazing experience was the food. Everything was amazing, so good that we went back the next night. Gnocchi was, hands down, the best I have ever had. Well done!

Prices are on the high end of average but for the quality and portion sizes of the meals, they're actually extremely good value. The seafood spaghetti is two meals for any mere mortal, and the reef & beef will make you unable to sleep on your stomach when you go home. The seafood elements to the dishes were especially fresh, generous and delicious. Wine selection is great as well, although condensed, with the white selection featuring a couple of standouts for pairing with this sort of menu. Service was extraordinarily slow, but friendly. And all is forgiven when you take your first bite anyway. Didn't manage to cop any free cake for my birthday dinner and the coffee was a one-star performance. As you can see, none of these cons were able to detract from a 5-star rating. I can wholeheartedly recommend Whalers to anyone looking for a great meal in Exmouth.
