Went there for a manicure and pedicure. I showed the lady a picture of what I was looking for and she said that she could do it for me, then at the middle of the job I showed her again the picture and then she said she couldn’t do exactly the same because of my nails. She offered to do something else, which I appreciated, and then she did the design in the picture. No further comments......nPedicure was okay, but I felt that she was not in a good mood anymore with me, I felt a little bit awkward after that.nNot recommendedn.......nupdate: please read the comment from the owner to this review, you can clearly realise the type of treatment you will receive there. This is not about the design I wanted, this review is about the quality of the service and the design made.nIf you don’t like to treat with people or you don’t know how to deal with them, maybe you should change your business. I have been coming here for years! The owner runs a very professional salon that runs like clock work! The staff seem very happy and well looked after and the customers are always plentiful so make sure you book!nnWarning* if you don’t like humour or are uptight..... I suggest you don’t frequent this salon. The customers that aren’t prefer it this way too!nnThanks Sue and staff I look forward to my visits with you!

I was recommended to try this nail salon from a local one day I was shopping at James St and I haven't looked back since! I have been getting my nails done here every month now and I love their work and service. Sue is a hilarious woman and guarantees a fun time each visit (but if you can't handle sarcasm well then you shouldn't visit this place). I always get SNS done on my nails and I've loved it each time and they've lasted me a good 4 weeks before needing to redo them. Highly recommend this nail salon but also recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE.nnDecided to treat myself to a manicure at desirable nails. Well never again.nnI was looked after by whom I believe to be the owner. She was rushing through my nail service, fitting tips they were too small for certain nails and grinding my natural nail down to fit. She was rude and gave attitude and eye roll when I asked her to shorten my nails or adjust the shape.nnShe was constantly taking phone calls on speaker while performing my service, while I can understand that this is important to maintain bookings for business, I feel that some of the staff who were free at the time could’ve answered and handled these calls.nnMy nails were all different shapes and lengths, the acrylic was chunky and uneven and she left chunks of acrylic underneath my nails. I’m a hairdresser and I explained that these needed to be cleaned out and fixed as I couldn’t work with untidy chunky nails, She ran a file against the underneath of each nail in an attempt to fix this issue and cut my finger open and caused me to bleed (pictured.)nnAt the end of my service when another customer was paying they were asked to pay cash, I apologised and asked if I could pay eftpos as I wasn’t aware that cash was the preferred method of payment and She rolled her eyes at me and laughed and said “normally I would charge $65 but as I made you bleed it will be $50”nnI am in no way upset by the price as someone who has paid hundreds in past for a decent manicure. I am disappointed about the lack of concern given that she had injured a client.nnAs for adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, being a hairdresser in an upmarket salon I am well versed in what Is expected of the beauty industry and its staff at this detrimental time. The salon and it’s stations were untidy, dust covered the chairs and stations I was seated at and I saw absolutely no sterilization practices take place at all during my time in salon. Other customers were asked to scan in for covid contact tracing however I was not. Demonstrating lack of consistency.nnI left with sore untidy fingers and severely dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience.nnI have since this experience this morning had to track down my original nail technician who had moved and she had to completely remove this set of acrylics and sanitise and treat my hands before redoing my manicure.nnVery disappointing experience and I definately will not be recommending this salon to anyone.
