Good pub grub. Turned up at 5:30 expecting it to be near empty as most bistros are at that time. Found it almost full and we were lucky to get the last table.nOnly had to wait a little over 30 mins for our meal which was very acceptable considering how busy it was. Drinks were a bit expensive but other than that we had no complaints.

Came here long weekend when they were extremely busy (been there many times before on normal weekends) staff were still very friendly despite they high demand. We had a great time as per usual and the food was still perfect. Thanks so much!

Food is delicious. Coffee is great. Only down side is our table was at the back area but this is only because the nicer part of the restaurant is fully booked.

One meal was just one sausage and potato mash. Excuse - they ran out of peas. Very disappointing. Other meals were just average. With the number of people visiting this time of the year there is room for improvement with waiting times also.n01/06/2021 - thanks for your response. I have checked and it was a seniors meal. The reason given was they had run out of peas. No mention of other steamed vegetables. We're not people to complain but one lonely sausage on a huge plate of mash with a small splattering of onion gravy did not present well. We also watched others who ordered after us served with their meals before us. The pie my husband had was acceptable but the seafood meals my friend and I had were over cooked and a little disappointing too. I think the staff were busy and as they brought the meals they just made a passing comment about the bangers and mash! We went to another hotel the next day and had a similar experience. The reason there was obviously not enough staff. Your place was recommended by Diamondvale Cottages and you do seem to be popular. It is disappointing to write reviews like this for the owner and the customer. Hopefully it will not happen should we visit again.

We had tea there fairly late last night. The pub was unexpectedly busy. We got the last table. Due to the sudden influx of diners the pub was short staffed and we were warned meals would take some time. Our meals came out surprisingly quickly. We had bbq chicken schnitzel and fillet steak with vegetables and chips, gravy and pepper sauce. The meals were good, solid pub fare. My steak was nicely cooked, the pepper sauce was delightfully peppery. We both enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful despite being extremely busy. Great first impression of Stanthorpe!
