Hou Wang Chinese Temple and Museum

Amazing place - from the outside its just a tin shed but inside is a rich treasure trove of Chinese traditional items. Volunteers were very welcoming and enthusiastic about this important historic place. Must see when in Atherton.

This tour was sensational. The guide gave us so much insite into the Chinese contribution to our mining society. Definitely worth the visit. And all looked after by 5 volunteers. Well done you guys for all your effort.

Unique piece of Chinese settlement in Atherton at turn of 20th century. National Trust guides incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the history of early Chinese whose leases were terminated as the land was given by the State Government to returned soldiers.

Very well-done museum. Lots of interesting history to read through and pictures to peruse.
