Shhh! Brisbane

Ever since it merged with The Osborne everything that once made it special is just about gone. The atmosphere feels more generic and a lot less like a special place. Went there pretty recently and there were the wounds of demolition all over the walls and roof. Ordered a G&T and somehow got one of the worst drinks I've had. Just thoroughly disappointing given the standard this place once was.

Busy at happy hour. With the poor bar staff getting smashed with cocktail order. So there is a bit of a wait but if your patient the service is friendly and thoughtful and you’ll be rewarded with a delicious and reasonably priced beverage. Yum

Shhhhhhhockingly Underwhelming. If you're looking for the newest, coolest thing - this ain't it. If you're pitching a new place as a Gin Cocktail and nibbles bar, you'd expect the bar staff to know about the gin, and the nibbles to be bang on. Neither was true. The bartender had no idea what any of the gin's were, let alone how to serve it - and the food was deep fried, tasteless trite. No chef is making this stuff - this is a low level Cook out the back. I'm all for supporting new places, but if you're going to launch a new bar - at least get the basics right.
