Hotel Corones Charleville

Had drinks before, during, and after the Melbourne Cup. Great Hotel, good country friendliness and service. Counter Lunch was very good Pub Grub. After Lunch we did the tour with Rachel. She was fabulous, knowledgeable, and a fantastic guide. A really positive experience and highly recommended.

Over the counter service when the bottle O next door was closed. The staff were a great help with selecting a wine for the evening. Excellent service.

We stopped in Charleville on our way back to Brisbane from an Outback camping trip. We were only here one night so chose not to pitch a tent. The Hotel Corones was a comfortable, quiet and central location. Our motel room was warm and well-appointed. The meals in the heritage pub were reasonably priced and good quality. The total experience lived up to expectations.

Corones is a legend in Queensland. At one time the best hotel in this part of the world. Can stay there in budget rooms upstairs, with access to the verandah. Or there is a motel out the back, a pretty standard motel if you prefer that type of accomodation.
