I had never eaten at this venue until recently. The man who was serving and showing people to their seats on 17/10/2020 Saturday night had the most contagious personality. The man was smiling, charming and had jokes. Brilliant service, thank you personally! As for the food, the chef recommendation was grilled prawns that I found to be a little dry, very oily and not as much flavour as I was expecting but I didn't not enjoy it. We ordered four entrées between three people and they all came out at the same time and hot! I was absolutely ecstatic. The loaded fries were delicious with a bit of shredded pork, it was perfect! Buttermilk wings and the cheesy garlic bread were cooked to perfection and as I mentioned before, hot and ready to eat. In conclusion, was a brilliant experience and left the restaurant feeling full and happy, just like most of the dining places on Ocean st, I would recommend eating here.

We love Solbar, we've been coming here for years. Queensland can finally go out so we booked a table for 10 after I rang up & was assured there was no time limits on occupying tables. We got here just after 4pm but at (nearly) 8pm the manager came to our table & basically said we had to leave in 15 minutes. Really? We are all in our 50's. We have money & we have spent a lot. Everyone ate a meal & we are buying bottles of bubbly, not glasses. After words with the manager, we are still here, still spending lots of money. Queensland has relaxed all of it's regulations today & nowhere, are time limits mentioned on the website & it is not my problem that your staff gave me the wrong information & we aren't ready to go yet. Sorry, we have a ride booked for 10pm because NOWHERE is a time limit specified. It has now become obvious, that someone else wanted our table, this is why we were asked to leave. Shame on you Solbar. . This is a disgraceful way to treat your patrons.

Great energy. Dj's and musicians on occasions. Friendly staff and a great place to come with ya mates for a night out or a pub crawl

Went for lunch today and I want to put a rating for the service however we did not receive any. One burger was edible and the other was served with running blood. When taking the burger back it was explained that this is how they are served. there is a first for everything but I would suggest that this information be included in the menu. We had to walk to the bar to ask for a drink of which was bought out to the table. 45 minutes later we had to ask if they were still serving. High chair was not usable.

Great pizza, pretty good fish tacos! Go for the cocktail jugs!
