Daintree Rainforest is the oldest rainforest in the world. It is one of the most biodiverse rainforest as it is filled with abundant flora and fauna. We can enjoy the natural beauty of the forest. Although we ourselves has the duty to protect it from deforestation and logging activities.

Had an excellent half day trip with Mike. He has so much knowledge about the local flora and fauna, and their prehistoric connections! He is clearly very passionate which made the trip very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone wanting a more intimate experience with the Daintree and Cape Trib.

This Discovery centre is well worth discovering! The staff were enthusiastic, and had a sense of humour. (Always a good start to any learning experience.) The place was well laid out and exploration of the rainforest "layers" and habitats was assisted with a handheld speaker device - the information corresponding to numbers along the walk. Going up, I think 111 steps, (part of the boardwalk), was well planned for all age groups. Platforms with chairs gave you the chance to sit back and absorb the unique atmosphere of each level. I was impressed with the wood display. A sample of the kauri, rosewood etc and a description of the tree, its age, and what the timber was used for. We certainly can't let rainforests be exploited. What an inspiring example of life forms working together for a harmonial survival. Experiencing this discovery centre was experiencing the rainforest. And the dinasaurs! Brilliant - especially when they moved! Thank you. I, a mature lady saw them through the eyes of a child and laughed ... Congratulations to those that designed this place. There is much more to discover than the bits I've covered. Highly recommended. Thank you...
