【Great Hospitality】nStayed in this place during Easter holiday. The other place we initially had a booking told us that they double-booked and no spot available due to late arrival (17:30). Then, we were trying to find a place to camp for 2 nights and eventually arrived this sweet spot.nnThis place is the family owned business and so kind that they offered us a spot that was not even available. They kindly made a spot for us to stay. We could not appreciate their kindness enough. Very friendly and warm-hearted people.nn【Facility】nThe facilities are well-maintained and great for young couples and also families as well. Clean bathrooms and laundries.nn【Location】nIf you are chasing for a camping location near the sand dunes, you cannot find anywhere better than this place. This place is just right behind the sand dunes - probably 5 min walking distance. So, we walked to the top of the sand dunes in the evening and saw the sun set. The sun set I saw there is by far the best in my life. Because of this camp site we could enjoy that much.nn【Summary】nI cannot thank enough to the lady who accepted us without booking during the high season. I highly recommend this place if you are chasing the great sun set and stargazing experience at Port Stephens.

Loved this place, first time taking the family camping and found this place at the last minute, and what a spot.... A short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded caravan parks... Peaceful and tranquil. The staff were great and helpful and the place backs up to the dunes which the kids loved sliding down.

Had a lovely stay at the campsite last night. The older gentleman in the office (sorry didn’t catch your name!) was absolutely lovely and gave me some great local tips. If I had more time I would have stayed another night and explored the area a little more. Amenities really clean and sand dunes at sunset are a must.

We loved so much to stay in this camping that we came back again after few weeks! We rented a spot to park our van and the place was so nice and quiet! Toilets are always clean, the camping is well maintained with beautiful grass and flowers all around. John and his wife are lovely, the camping is in a beautiful location close to the dunes, amazing sunsets in there! Highly recommended to come here if you are around the Nelson Bay Area.

Really disappointed with this park ,we were very desperate in January travel home from Queensland and couldn’t get a vacancy until this place (now I know why) paid $100 a night which I’ve never paid that much at any caravan park ,they really took advantage of the Covid crisis.nThe facility’s are old and out dated the camp kitchen was pathetic, the waste dump was a old toilet in between the toilet block ,was attacked by mosquitoes every night.nThe owners are so friendly they shared all their grievances with us mainly about the permanent residence in the park and complained about all the campers in the park.nIf you have children there’s nothing for them to do in this park and you need to drive to get to the beach, shops, clubs anywhere cause you are in the middle of nowhere.nI have now stayed in many beautiful parks with fantastic facilities with sea views which have been so much cheaper . I still feel so ripped off.nSo I hope if you read this review I will save you the disappointment that we had.
