La Diva Beauty & Nails - Ascot

I'm not one to leave a bad review, this is my first, and while I can handle and shrug off bad service or a bad job, I can't handle dishonesty and being ripped off.nAfter collecting a menu a few weeks ago, I decided to get my nails done. I was after a full set of acrylics which were advertised for $45 and pointed at what I wanted on the menu. They asked me if I wanted shellac for extra and I said no, I have a budget I would like to stick to and will just have the regular polish. After they had buffed and started glueing on the nails, they proceeded to tell me it was $55. I had the menu next to me and showed them it was $45 and they said it had gone up but they haven't got new menus done yet but said it was an extra $10 for colour. I looked and asked them where the sign was to inform customers of the price increase? They couldn't show me or show me any proof it had gone up.nI told them they should have informed me BEFORE they started the service not after they started. They let me walk out with unfinished nails. They said they are just following their bosses orders. As a small business owner myself in the beauty industry, I am aware what they have done is not within regulations of consumer laws.nI feel incredibly disappointed and decieved. I wish I took my business elsewhere.

This place is so much more professional than other nail salons ! I am so happy with my nails plus the staff are lovely and the salon is very comfortable.

First and last time coming here. Looked good from the outside but would never return. The lady who did my nails was frowning and sighing the entire time and did not acknowledge me in any way. She roughly pulled on my limbs and fingers/toes, buffed my nails too thinly, and cut my skin multiple times when working on the cuticles. I thought maybe she was having a bad day so when she finished I said thank you with a smile but she just turned around and left while muttering something under her breath. The end result was also poor, the gel polish was all painted outside the nails and stuck to my skin, and everything peeled off within 2 days. Very disappointing.

Called the salon and asked if I could send them a photo of what I wanted done. They said I could and booked me in for an appointment. When I got there they told me I couldn’t recieve what I had sent them a photo of. By the time they told me they had already started my pedicure. I then told them if they couldn’t do what I wanted then I would have to find somewhere else as it was for a big event. They then proceeded to charge me $30 just for cutting my toenails which I could have done for free at home. Would not recommend this place to anyone.nnThe manager also tried to tell me it was my fault for sending such a difficult photo and they couldn’t be blamed as they were too busy to tell me beforehand that they couldn’t do either design I wanted.

Best. Nail. Salon. Ever!!! My new regular spot I think!
