Indo Pacific Marine

Went to this aquarium 20yrs ago (made 2 visits) and was so impressed with John and his knowledge. At that time the coral section was quite unique. So pleased the aquarium is still running.

This is a great place to go to learn about ecosystems. Pros: - John is very knowledgeable and passionate. - Happy to answer questions and give more information - Had our own feeding show Cons: - No air-conditioning - A little run down due to private ownership. No government support so head down to help John out.

This is one of the best attractions our family has ever visited. John is incredibly knowledgeable, we all learned so much on the first visit that we just went back for a second visit before leaving for Sydney! The animals and aquatic life are remarkable, but it's John's understanding which makes this marine display totally unique. The central tank is a micro reef of its own - despite having nothing but rainwater added for over 30 years and no filtration, it teems with fish, live coral, sponges, and trillions of algae and bacteria; and that's the point, this is a marine display not just a fake colourfully painted aquarium. Overall, it's a must see for anyone visiting the territory!!

This is a must see attraction in Darwin, the best kept secret. It offers a great way to experience the tropical reef and fish of Darwin without getting wet. I just loved it. It is also very educational as John has been doing very informative tours for 40 years. Even as an experienced diver I have learned a lot.

Nice place to watch ships and water
