What a lovely little pub in the middle of nowhere..log fire burning. Lovely its our garden bar...Very nice stop over on way back from York..

I was very sad that such a beautiful setting could be ruined by such terrible staff. The male serving us behind the bar was unfriendly and rude. When my partner simply asked if her meal contained dairy as she is allergic he simply said couldn't tell you. Did not offer to check or continue the conversation with her in regards to this. When asked about drinks he again was rude which put a sour taste in our mouth long before out food came. This continued where we watched him be rude and petty to other patrons in the bar. The climax of this wonderful display of customer service was when someone in our party asked for a knife and fork to eat his burger and was told he was not allowed and had to go to the bar to have his food cut for him. The food itself was very good the setting beautiful but sadly it was difficult to move past the rest

The chef here is amazing. Simply the best pub food I've had, bringing back memories of my childhood when traditional Aussie food was made properly with passion and care. The meat is quality sourced and they use organic homegrown Veges where possible. Was a delight to find this place after years of putting up with fancy chefs who have no real flair for cooking our food.

Great little place to call in, beautiful food, friendly publican and staff, good selection of beers on tap and good variety of nice wines, pet and kid friendly, do yourself a favour and drop on bye
