The Southern Hotel Toowoomba

Enjoyed dinner with group of friends. We had a mix of main courses including Steak Sandwich, Ribs, Steak meals and Salad meals and everyone enjoyed theirs. Plenty of "board specials" too. Large eating areas and plenty of choices where you eat or drink at hotel. Would definitely eat there again if I was in the area.

Beautiful great, venue unfortunately was cold so we left early.

We went to the cafe. It's a bit soulless, and not much trouble has been taken to add a little "spice to the decor. The lack of any "softening" features like carpet etc meant the noise from chairs being moved on the tiled floor was quite deafening. We chose the cafe over the connected pub as it seemed quieter, ironically:) our crumbed fish and salad was adequate. Quite a large portion with a dollop of tartare. Not awful, but not tempting enough to want to go back.
