Cairns Botanic Gardens

What a beautiful place. It has something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cairns. So many wonderful flora and fauna. The butterfly sanctuary is great. Take a picnic or go for a nice walk. Just make sure you hydrate because it's very humid.

Lovely place for a walk. Met a lovely lady who was a volunteer and had a lovely chat about bees.Went to the cafe for lunch! Fabulous! Happy cheerful staff and everything was huge. My husband had a scone which was the size of 2 or 3 and I had waffle with a huge:amount of fruit. Great food.

Not the biggest, probably not the best botanic gardens. But, it is the best we have here in North Queensland and I absolutely love spending time here. One of the best places if seeking solitude from your busy work schedules. Oh and a great place for some macro photography.

The best laid out gardens we have ever seen. Absolutely beautiful, well maintained - and huge! Delightful for a stroll and for botanical interest. Also have a cafe and public loos.

Great variety of plants. Nice quiet place to relax and pretty large to walk it. Recommend comfy walking shoes. Couple of nice cafes on site to rest or recharge
