Alchemy Restaurant and Bar Brisbane

This restaurant advertises fine dinning . If fine dinning was In terms of waitresses not knowing the drinks menu and what is on it. Not one time did any waiter's ask us how our food was and only one waitress whom had a curled ponytail on Saturday night , had good customer skills. The only two things out of what our group had ordered was good. The steak which is surcharged to be $8 extra and the desert.The food lacked a hit of flavour and all the prawns that were ordered were definitely grilled because all that we could taste was charcoal. The risotto was by far the worst one I have had yet. The pasta was nothing special and the decoration of one massive greenery was a lack of attention to detail. Overall the experience in food quality was not there. The price you pay for is for the view of the river. Would not recommend. A lot of other good restaurants to spend your money on. Over $1000 spent at this place and we left dissatisfied .

What a wonderful night. What started as a joke with a friend about going to a fancy restaurant (just a nice local place) turned into a night at Alchemy. The staff were brilliant, with very smooth service knowing just when to collect plates and bring the next course. The only mistake they made was asking if it was a special occasion, my friend was petrified of someone thinking we were on a date, but that too just showed how diligent the staff where in making sure that it was a perfect night for their guests. The only negative was other guests with loud rude conversation and people wasting such a wonderful experience on their phones. I look forward to the next opportunity I have to visit such a great restaurant.

Finally getting back out to sit in restaurants and had a fantastic time at Alchemy. The service was exceptional and friendly and the set price menu was a fantastic idea as you could choose three courses from any part of the menu. Zucchini flowers, risotto with scallops and beef cheeks with some fabulous wines was perfect. The servings are generous so be careful!

Everything about our night was amazing. The service of the staff was impeccable. So attentive and knowledgeable. Francesco was wonderful and made us feel very special. The food was incredible. Absolutely delicious and perfect portion sizes. Their selection of wines is excellent. When I booked I told them it was our anniversary and they really ensured we had the most romantic evening.

This was our 3rd visit to Alchemy , and it didn’t disappoint. We started with the pork belly and lentils for entree. Mains chosen were the fish of the day with mussels and leeks , and beef cheeks. Deserts were creme caramel and the apple crumble. Every course was as described and delicious.
