Platform Bar

Very quaint place, well located pub. Just for a quick drink to meet up with friends and/or family, whilst awaiting the arrival of the train. Central is a great meeting place too, if working close by. The usual varieties of beers on tap, plus for those interested in the races too, there are facilities available to assist you while away time. Make it a destination when next traveling and you'll be surprised. Enjoy

Brisbane Meetup groups had their Xmas party here. About 7:30pm I went for my second drink. The bartender, a young bloke who seemed to be in charge or acted so, tossed my ticket in the air and said that the time was over. Do I want to buy a drink? I regarded that as a haughty, unnecessary attitude. It has turned me off to this venue.

Ordered a medium rare rump for lunch today and sheesh, it was definitely not medium rare more like borderline blue... disappointed

You need to teach your bar staff basic manners and customer service . To refuse service because your Amex machine isn’t on is a joke . Bar man needs to learn some manners . Big night elsewhere now !!

Part of the Grand Central Hotel. Has a small range of craft beers, not bad atmosphere. Worth a visit and obviously convenient if your after drinks choice of transport is train.
