Cairns Aquarium

A true iconic must see attraction in Cairns. Went on a really busy day with kids running around and screaming which was indication of the excitement of the attraction but it would be a very relaxing submersible underwater experience during the week. The aquariums are a wonder and the exhibits are world class. So many animals to see and even touch. Lots of presentations through the day so no matter what time you go there will be something to see. Just beautiful and something to cherish like the Great Barrier Reef.

We would highly recommend the twilight tour and dinner at the Cairns aquarium. Matilda is a legend! She was really great with our kids and both tour guides had excellent knowledge of the exhibits the were taking us too see. Dinner was served to us in the aquarium which was a special occasion due to Dundee's restaurant being extremely busy because of Xmas party's. That really added to the experience! We cannot recommend this twilight tour enough. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! What an absolutely incredible experience. We have just left the twilight experience. The level of service by every single staff member was top notch. The food, fantastic. Fancy. Delicious. Very well presented. Super fresh. I don't really recommend for kids under maybe 5. Our almost 3 year old was STARVING by the time we got to the entrè and sadly we had to cut our tour a little short as he just couldn't wait any longer. But, that said he did so well for about 1h45m of the 2hr tour. I would happily do this again and visiting Cairns Aquarium is something I will certainly recommend to everyone that I know. Thank you for having such an informative, interesting, clean and gorgeously presented aquarium.

Went on the Twilight Aquarium and Dinner tour and was not disappointed. You go on an educational and fascinating tour of the aquarium after hours with a small group so you see and learn way more than if you went by yourself during the day. Our guide Alex (male Alex) was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, clearly loves what he does which is amazing to see. He was full of stories, fun facts and was great at involving the group in his presentations. After the tour you have your entree and drink served to you in the huge exhibit housing sharks, rays and other huge fish. Relaxing with a cold beverage watching magnificent animals swimming overhead is bloody amazing in itself, but then you're escorted to Dundee's restaurant for an exceptional meal. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone in Cairns. A great way to end a day in paradise!

We took our three grandchildren to this aquarium on the school holidays. We all loved the experience. It was all set out wonderfully and everyone had plenty of space to see everything. We spent 2 hours there. We got a lot of wonderful photos. It was great and we would recommend it if you are in Cairns.
