Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

A mere 3-5 seconds before hitting the 100km zone from the 70km zone, I began speeding up and was immediately pulled over. Good thing Sgt S J was there at his favourite spot. The Fort Macleod officer zealously wrote up a speeding ticket. I attested, pointing out how I was nearly at the 100km zone sign. He jubilantly waved off my observation, determined to give me the ticket; and as he sauntered away wearing his invisible cowboy hat exclaimed, "welcome to Alberta!". I'm glad officer J of Fort Macleod gets to go home each day with a sense of accomplishment, making the world a better place... one tiny strip of the highway at a time. Somebody give this guy some grade A beef jerky!

Some of the hardest working officers I have seen. Due to the area we live in, we've had to call the RCMP several times. Every time we called however they responded quickly and resolved the issues as best as they could. Another thing is their acts of kindness. On one occasion, my friend lost his phone. An RCMP Officer was able to find it and call around to see who owned it. My friend soon got his phone back! On a second occasion, an RCMP Officer paid for our families coffees at Tim Hortons.

Arrogant staff and officers. Not willing to help, but willing to write tickets
