Not bad , not great. A year has passed, and the place has became better with animal care and quality.

I usually love this place and have been here many times to get some new fish and items for my tank with my boyfriend who has been owning tropical fish for 10+ years so he comes to help me out and pick some up since they have a generally good selection....but we had a very unpleasant experience this time unfortunately with a staff member named SAM and will not be returning because of it. My tank was finally cycled through properly for me to get some fish after waiting for a little over a month I was super excited to pick out some cherry shrimp and a loach :)! Me being me I waited until the person at the registers didn’t have anyone so they didn’t feel rushed. When I finally did ask I asked politely if I could grab some fish from the tanks from a person named Sam. Unfortunately I was met with them sternly and rudely saying “how old are you.” Me being 20 it caught me off guard because I didn’t think I look younger than 18 to sell fish to being that’s a rule that I know of..as well as being met with a grumpy “how old are you.” Rather than a nicer way like sure! But how old are you you look younger or anything along those lines would have been completely fine I’d have no problem with that. I laughed it off just because I got a little scared because it was said in a mean way... afterwards he said he would send someone over in a second. I got my shrimp and loach from a very sweet girl thankfully and after I got mine my boyfriend noticed some bamboo shrimp that he has been looking for forever. Him being excited he asked the girl and she said she would ask Sam again as he was more informed on them. He has angelfish but the shrimp were big enough that he would like to know if they could possibly coexist in his 65 gallon. Unfortunately again we were met with Sam grumpily and sternly saying to the sweet girl “absolutely not. They will eat them right away that’s a dumb idea”. As we were only a few feet away. I’m not sure what his issue was but in the reviews he has seem to also come up as being rude. I was very happy to get my first fish here but given this staff member I probably will not come back. I’m not one to complain on anything but I’ve worked in customer service for years and tried to be nice and laugh off his sternly tone but I genuinely can not because I would love to continue shopping here but I can’t deal with being talked to like that :(. I spent my money and left and that will be my last time unfortunately.....

Has everything I need, quick, friendly service

The experience wasn't pleasing at all. I did an online order, only for them to send me the wrong item. Thus I had to wait for another week for my new order to come in. It was a good thing that the food I ordered from them was a new food and that i was planning to slowly transition it from the old to the new. But, imagine if this was my dog's original food. Should she not eat for a whole two weeks? Just very inconvenient.

Customer service was amazing and the product availability and selection was outstanding. Definitely going to go there again for my cats needs. Also had pets for adoption, guinea pigs were largest today but had cages for dogs and cats as well.
