Staff was friendly and location is great for sledding. Good parking for trailers, and tents for snowmobiles.

Absolutely disgusting! ***Bed bugs!*** We booked a room in La Sagueneene from the 9th to the 14th because Nathalie was very pleasant and helpful when i called the hotel for info about COVID-19 etc. Our friends decided to join us and booked the same hotel trusting us with our choice. We all checked in on Sunday Aug 9, we were on the 4th floor and our friends were on the first. Late at night we noticed 2 bed bugs on one of the beds and after being 100% sure they are bed bugs we went to the reception (with the killed bugs on a kleenex), the guys at the reception was not even one bit empathetic and brushed us off saying there’s no other clean rooms available and that he is « just a night shift guy » and that he’s just coming back from vacation and cant do anything at this hour, we’re talking past midnight with a toddler and 2 teens sleeping in the room. Since we have no choice we go back to the room and our eldest screams that there’s ANOTHER bed bug crawling right under our babies pillow! I lose it, catch the bug and go back to the reception with the bug in a Kleenex. I show it to the guy and he somehow finds us another room but on the same floor. I explain to him that if there’s an infestation, they are all over the hotel, let alone the same floor! He is extremely unprofessional in his responses at some point even yelling back at my friend who was losing her patience with him because he was not being helpful in this situation as he kept repeating that he is only the night guy and that he just came back from vacation and we can deal with it in the morning. Deal with us sleeping with bed bugs in the morning?! Lovely! At this point we are beyond shocked at the responses we’re getting and the attitude received, the guy yells at the top of his lungs then walks away and hides in the back not to talk to us! We demand he calls the manager, it is now almost 2am(!!!) The manager is also unable to find us a solution except the room on the same floor because « she doesn’t have the room availability on her » and « what do you want me to do from home at 2am? », and those are her responses! After almost 1 hour(!!) back and forth on the phone with her, they finally find us another room on the 3rd floor. It is now almost 3am!!! We inspected it ourselves the best we could, lifting the mattresses etc, transferred the kids over to that room and left all our stuff in the infested room to figure out what to do in the morning. 7 am we are back at the lobby with the general manager whom i spoke to over the phone and the service manager. They call the exterminator and dont even offer any cleaning or any solution until we ask them what happens with our clothes, baggage etc, everything must absolutely be treated not to bring it home or any other hotel. They then suggest they send the clothes to their cleaners and steam our bags which we can pickup after. Since we have no idea how infested the hotel is and it is troublesome to leave all our belongings there since we had all planned and paid activities for the upcoming days we decide to put all pur belongings in plastic bags and take it with us until we find another place to stay and a way to disinfect everything. Needless to say how stressful this was and that we lost a day of vacation and a night of sleep with all of this. We have obviously not paid for that night and both we and our friends have moved out! After asking for some sort of compensation (which they hesitated to offer) for the experienced inconveniences and the wasted time, they have finally offered us free tickets to the Air Defence museum he had planned to visit. RECAP: • bed bugs • lack of professionalism and empathy, poor customer service from night staff • ZERO empathy and problem solving skills • no proactivity on finding a solution for a highly inconvenient situation • no voluntary compensation provided for ruined vacation Definitely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!!! Very expensive. No senior or corporative discount. The net says 109 not 150. Very disappointed on the restaurant. We are locals and come here for the delicious fish but they had none what is that about? our anniversary dinner was a bust because of that a good thing the waiter was very understanding and empathetic so I decided on chicken skewer but no fries what's that about Fry's came separately but the waiter did fight for me and I got my fries but no fish well won't be back there's not even a breakfast included with the price so steep

Very snowmobile friendly we stayed two nights. I had a great time good food, nice bar, beautiful pool and hot tubs. Only gripe is the bar closed to early 9 pm

This is the place to stay in the Saguenay ,Mount Vallin Region. Excellent accommodation, staff and services. Groomed trial right to the door. Had a breakdown with my sled late in the afternoon, within two hours they had arranged for a truck (Kevin) to pick me up the next morning, pick up my sled at the dealer and take me to our trailer in Quebec City. Thank you for the great service, look forward to staying and riding there again. Wayne Hawke
