The Phat Cat Inn

Our cat Ella is like a dog. She loves to be around people and loves attention. I am always hesitant to leave her in boarding facilities because when we pick her up she is usually a little traumatized. Not this time! Kathryn took such good care of our Ella. She was happy and playful and energetic when I picked her up. The facility itself is warm and inviting and just perfect for cats. I would definitely recommend!

I was referred by a coworker to send my kitty, Bo Bo, to Phat Cat Inn back in 2016. Our family travels, a minimum of a week to a maximum of two and a half weeks, every year. We have been sending Bo Bo to stay in this warm, cozy, secure and clean cat hotel during our travels three times already. There is one thing that I am very impressed with Phat Cat Inn is that this hotel provides an individual big room with basic necessities for each kitty at an affordable price. I have been searching for the similar cat boarding facilities in the Lower Mainland, and Phat cat inn is always my no.1's choice. Our kitty is very sensitive to changes in an environment but she always adapts to this cat hotel very quickly. Staff at Phat cat inn is also quite friendly, and they always try their best to accommodate my pick up or drop off times. :)

We were very happy with the cat boarding here and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family. It is amazing to not have to worry about your pets while on holidays. Thank you for taking such great care of our cats while we were away!

I am writing this review because my friend, who works in the vet industry,made me as she felt I had a duty to tell others what happens to my cat. My cat stayed at the Phat Cat Inn for eight days. When we got her home her carrier was full of feces. My cat was covering her own feces. We had to take our already traumatized cat and completely bath her. I paid $208 for her to stay there plus $30 for the new carrier and $12 for pet shampoo for a total -$250 When I called and informed the owner about the condition I received my cat back in she offered $60 refund as compensation ( $10 per bowel movement in the carrier, her idea of how to quantify the compensation not mine) It is a canvas carrier so I have no idea how the owner did not see or smell this as it was obviously happening for many days. What if she was really sick and vomiting in her carrier would they not have noticed this either? This review is not intended to be personal towards the owner. This is a business. They offer and I paid for a service. The service to care for my cat,and I do not believe they lived up to the service I hired them to do.

A cat hotel with individual rooms, staffs are nice.
