Port Moody Police Department

Saw a PMPD officer floor his cruiser at a yellow light to try and beat the red. Ended up running the red going about 85km/h at St. John and Barnet. That reminded me to write this review. Officers in this department are cool, respectful and not power hungry. Great police force. Ticket to Pull Over Ratio - PMPD: 0:2 - RCMP 1:2

Overall rude. Should treat everyone with basic human respect!!! Its not hard.

I've been pulled over by 8 different "officers" 8 different times by this police department in the last 2 years not once did I break any traffic laws or any laws at all always the same reason "just checking ID's" they constantly profile and harass based on the person and the car they drive pathetic excuse for a police department go do your jobs and focus on real criminals

Extremely unhelpful staff at the department. I went in for a background check for my PR application and was given the run around. Do yourself a favor and go with a private company, it’s not worth it. I go in and was told they only do that on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. So I come back next week and they tell me they are all booked, no spots available. Meanwhile nothing is happening in the whole place, it’s empty, not a soul in sight just three women behind the glass counter twiddling their thumbs. They now tell me I need an appointment so I booked one and came back the following week, so I get there and they tell me they tell me I need the one page description of what was need for immigration. Okay, I had brought it the other two times but failed to bring it today so I get on the phone with my wife so she can text me a picture of the document to my phone and we can print it here. Now she tells we that it must be the original document which must be copied in front of the cameras. I call BS and say “what original?” The page was printed at home on my personal printer, there is no “original”. Of course the woman behind the counter hearing none of this, she just repeatedly invited me to go home and get it. By then I had to get out of there and get to work, totally pathetic.
