Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

If you have a question regarding the law don't ask the local RCMP, google it instead, per the person they have answering their phones.

The police were prompt to my home when my child died in October. They were there every step of the way to the point of notifying school friends the next day of her sudden and tragic passing. One thing that would keep me from 5 stars is the uselessness of the victim services. She sat at my house and didnt speak the entire time. We were urgently awaiting going to the hospital as we were hoping my girl would be revived. When we went to the hospital she sat there as close to the door as possible. She offered to grab water but the officers did all the talking and comforting. She contacted my mother to go to the RCMP days later where her offer of services for a child's death was a big thick booklet that she personally wrote. Please don't continue wasting the paper maam. I went out into the community to seek social services and help to cope with my loss. I am not going to sit there and feel any comfort from your booklet between my grief and tears. I would recommend that the RCMP cut that service to save money because they do a great job without it!

We would like to thank the constable who responded to our call for assistance on November 18, 2016 between 13:00 and 15:00, BC time. We were 40 KM north of Fort St. John heading south, when we experienced a flat on our dual-axel car transport trailer. We had very little space to get out of traffic and were afraid we would be hit. The Kal Tire dealership phoned the RCMP, who then contacted us to check our status. The constable attended the scene with warning lights, which slowed traffic and allowed space for the Kal Tire tech to change the tire in safety. It may have been a "routine" call for the constable - whose name we cannot recall or retrieve - but he saved our "bacon" and got us safely on the road again. Thank you, constable - you know who you are....
