This weekend I was there for a bachelorette party with family and friends and we had heard amazing things about this place and were looking forward to visiting. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the laid back fun atmosphere. Our server, Owen, was great and extremely patient as we had a large group. The band playing was great and everyone was having a good time. After paying for our meals all separately, with no gratuity included in our checks, we decided to stay and hang out and enjoy the band. As a group, we didn’t satisfy their expectations of tipping so they refused to serve us. After trying to speak with the manager, they refused to give us a number or amount to sufficiently meet their expectations. Overall, it was a horrible experience in the end. They didn’t discuss the issue with us in a professional manner at all, as the bartender badgered 1 person that wasn’t in control of an entire group as a whole. If an establishment expects a specific amount of tipping, especially for large groups that aren’t paying as a whole, include gratuity. I, along with my entire group, were so disappointed on how the situation was handled and how disrespectful the staff was, including the manager.
