I bought some really interesting items. Had a great experience overall. Could be a little more high energy but overall good experience. I will be back.

Fraudulent bidding process. Been there numerous times and it's always the same old. They have an item for sale. Guy starts the bidding, which goes up while noone is bidding in the room suggesting that he has some bids in his book. Raised my hand at one point then let the hypothetical bidding continue. Still no bid in the room at the upper current level and guy says 'sold'. A few minutes later, other bald guy comes to see me saying he has another item, identical to the one I did bid on and says he can sell it to me now for the lower price.... yeap that's empire auctions at its best.. and let's not talk about the fake antiques which are all over the place. And they are reselling stuff that they own..not like a real auction house.

Be careful. I deal with a lot of auctions across North America and have been disappointed my purchase from Empire. Even though their condition report was good there were apparent faults that should have been disclosed.

Don't go to Empire Gold! I had a terrible experience with a very rude bald guy. He was ok when doing the eval but then when he noticed I wasn't sure he barely gave me time to think and when I said I had a question he acted like he wasn't interested and went as far as to tell me that he didn't like the way I chew gum! I'm sorry but if this is an example of the type of people that work there or maybe even own the place I say go somewhere else. Disgusting behavior..I will make sure to post on CJAD as well.
