Ramada Vancouver Airport

Location is great, many shopping malls and restaurants in Richmond are within walking distance. With easy access to Canada Line, you can connect to Vancouver quickly without paying the premium to stay in Vancouver. Minoru Park is right behind the hotel, it is a great place to escape from the busy city. Our room is right next to the big Ramada sign facing Westminster Highway, the curtains are doing a good job in blocking light and noise. Avoid if you are very sensitive to light and noise.

Having rested here for a couple weeks, no problems. Staff are respectful and present; guests pretty much yahoo free. Walk/bus to 3 rd and you have it all! Strong vending, could use a laundry room for guests...👍

The location and the included budget breakfast are the best features of this hotel. Its a couple blocks away from the train station and one block away from the mall and has a few nearby restaurants. It offers airport shuttle services, making it a great choice for anyone that needs a airport hotel at a budget price. The rooms are outdated though, the A/C is a box fan from the 50s and the bathroom light was flickering like out of a horror movie, so maybe fix that? Staff was friendly and helpful and was able to accommodate my last minute requests.

The room was decent, but breakfast started at 6:30 - same time as my shuttle. The shuttle was the absolute worst experience of my life. My flight had been turned around the night before so I wasn’t expecting to have to take a shuttle back to the south terminal. I didn’t have any cash on me so when I got off the shuttle I didn’t give the driver a trip. He grumbled loudly “thanks for the tip”, I apologized and said that I didn’t have any cash, he replied “I had to go way out of my way to get you here”... I thanked him for doing his job... a horrendous experience!! Tipping is based on good service, NOT on doing your job.

Good value for the money, considering the prices of hotels in the Vancouver/Richmond area. Minoru park is directly behind the hotel, and also a three minute walk is Richmond Centre with shopping and fast food options. Rooms are outdated, but clean and practical. Really kind staff and service, this place is a win for the budget conscious.
