Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn

We are a bit disappointed. We came back as last time it was amazing. Paid extra for the room with the hot tub. Tub was NOT clean. When we booked the room, we were told to let them know if we want to check in early. Called 3 times and nobody would answer our question or give any time frames for us. We were stuck walking around during a pandemic while waiting, which is what we were trying to avoid. Lastly, there were no insulated cups for coffee. Drank hot coffee in a plastic water cup which is super hot on the hands. Probably will not be back again. Upside, great view of the mountains and cozy bed. Not worth over $200 a night for the stay this time.

This is the best value for a hotel that we have ever had. Price was amazing. Service was impeccable. Rooms were clean, amenities were nice with a fireplace in our room and a balcony. Scenery was spectacular! Tesla supercharging in the parking lot. Everything was perfect. Kudos to the staff as they were very kind and generous.

Chose a nice room with Jacuzzi knowing we were camping for a week before this. Jacuzzi didn't work, so far credit card has been charged $233 instead of correct price of $150 with no response by email yet. Good to know based on automated email response that they'll "get back to me within 30 days".

Hard to be too hard on this place as it's a budget hotel. I guess you get what you pay for? Check is was great, our room has an entrance off the hallway but also a small patio off the back with separate access to parking lot. AC and fireplace both worked well. They also had a nice big chess board in the lobby that the kids enjoyed. On the negative side, I questioned cleanliness with a couple of hairs on the underside of our toilet seat, beds were not good (big dip in the middle which is tough when you're sharing the bed with one of your kids), and TV remote didn't work.

The front desk clerk was not friendly upon check- in at 5:30pm. He wasn't wearing a mask properly- nose and part of the mouth exposed. And was coughing and snorting. He then grabbed our key without sanitizing. The cleanliness of the room was concerning. There was hair and dust all over the top of the toilet seat. There was blood on the pillow which could be seen through the pillowcase. We hoped cleaning would be a top priority during the Covid pandemic. We wore our sandals in the shower because we didn't feel it was clean. There was also a large rip in the upholstery of the chair in our room. Our fridge did not work, but we didn't not contact front desk since we were only staying 1 night. Overall the place needs a good thorough cleaning.
