Silver Creek Lodge

The first room assigned to us... Room 211 literally vibrated. It was next to a fan room and as far as we could figure out it was an unbalanced fan. Thankfully we were moved to another room. However that didn't work out very well either. There was no temperature control in Room 216A. Although we turned the thermostat down to 58F, the room never cooled below 77F. We had to cool the room by keeping windows and the balcony door open. This made for a drafty stay for three and a half days. When asked about the lack of temperature control, we were told by maintenance that it would take a bit of time... but three days?? The TV, DVD and room speaker controls were an absolute mess to deal with. We gave up on it and the only sound we could get was through the TV tinny speakers. Added insult to injury... the toilet plugged on the third flush. You would have to pay me to go back.

We always have a wonderful experience here. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated the communication between the front desk staff. We had a remaining balance on a gift card used and 3 members ensured we did in fact receive our balance back. The room is always clean and quiet, with exceptional views. Definitely a must stay in Canmore.

I have stayed here numerous in different suites due to the reasonable prices and this will be my last stay. There are a number of concerns you may want to think about before you book a suite here: 1) beds are are extremely uncomfortable. Surprisingly management has not addressed this even with all of the negative bed reviews on booking.com etc. 2) if you have neighbors above you or a conjoined suite beside you, have fun getting a good nights rest or piece and quiet. 3) I have encountered dirty dishes in the dishwasher 3 times from previous guests, Old coffee in the coffee machine, food residue left inside the fridge. 4) I have checked into suites when they have not been cleaned from previous guests (messy beds etc) Notified the front desk personnel and they had on record it has been cleaned (which is very suspicious) 5) the wait times for the elevator are a little excessive when busy (10+ min wait times) 6) Power/lights stopped working in the bathroom (fuses checked and reset with no luck) **I would strongly encourage future guests to bring some cleaning products and bed linen upon checking into your suites. It has a dirty vibe**

Stayed here for our mini-honeymoon and the lodge was excellent. The staff are very friendly, check in/out was easy, and the underground parking was super helpful since there is limited parking on the street and we drive a rather large truck. The beds are super comfortable and our balcony was perfect for eating breakfast while viewing the mountains. The lodge is only a 15-20min walk from downtown Canmore which was perfect for an evening stroll. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this place!

Highly recommend for family stay. Neat and clean . very cooperative. I lost my wallet but they found it and returned me . person was on the desk i forget his name but he help me alot with early check in . he was very friendly . Thank you very much
