Basecamp Suites Canmore

New place in centre of city. Very well decorated but obvious shortcuts taken in overall construction as walls / floors passed through nearly all sounds from those around. We visited during a less-busy period but I could see this being a large issue when fully booked.

We stayed here for a week on a ski trip. Nice and clean And the beds were really comfortable.

We loved our stay at Basecamp Suites! It’s close to everything, the design is adorable, the kitchen is fully equipped. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. We recommend it to all of our friends and look forward to coming back.

The suite is nice; close to everything. That said, the walls are super thin, so you hear every other suite around. Smelt like a dog was in our suite (so they didn’t clean it very well). WiFi doesn’t even reach the bedrooms. All around, it’s like being in a really nice university dorm. Will not be returning.

We usually stay at the Basecamp Resort but saw the Suites had just opened up and the location is perfect in the middle of downtown Canmore. The three bedroom + bunk completely met our expectations, great unit with tons of living space. One comment is that I found the heating is uneven throughout the unit (I was here in November), the master bedroom was always much colder than the main living area and 2nd/3rd bedrooms. We didn’t get a chance to check out the hot tub, but loved using it at the Resort. Overall, the location is super convenient; the walk to Save-on or Safeway is less than 5 minutes and there’s plenty of restaurants and stores around the building. Basecamp as a company is in my opinion the best option for Canmore accommodations if you want a kitchen; this one was beautiful. In my opinion the value is terrific; way cheaper than accommodations in Banff and you get so much more. Even in Canmore, Basecamp properties are probably the most newly renovated/appointed and the cleanest of all the properties I’ve stayed in.
