Zoe's at North Beach

We have stayed at Zoe's for two years now for a family getaway. The location is amazing - just a stone's throw away from North Chesterman beach. When we stay here, we don't surf any other beaches because it is so easy to walk to the surf. The house is well set up with good beds, a sizable living/dining/kitchen area and a huge porch. We had great weather this year and spent a lot of time on the porch. there is a hot tub and an outdoor shower that are just the best. Zoe is the best part of this place. She's an earth-mama hippy type who is super friendly, very helpful and genuinely cares that you have a nice time at her place. I would recommend this accommodation to families that are looking for a relaxing weekend. It's not a spot for party types or a rowdy weekend away.

A wonderful place to stay: quiet, comfortable, homey, great kitchen, awesome beds. Zoe is a wonderful owner and lives in the house behind, is not obtrusive but is available if you need anything. The deck and hot tub are relaxing. If you are concerned about the negative review because they couldn't eat or drink in the hot tub, don't be. We own one and if you have ever had to clean food out of the filters or drain your tub to get out broken glass, you know this is a wise rule. We loved our stay and recommend Zoe's to anyone.

Couldn't have asked for more! The beach is so close you can hear the waves crashing when you're on the deck or sitting in the hot tub. The house is beautiful and homey, the garden is full of flowers (it actually rivals the Tofino Botanical Gardens down the road), and the stone fireplace just makes you want to curl up with a good book. We cant wait to go back!

Home is beautiful & location is great BUT... our 2 big disappointments were: 1. We lacked privacy. Zoe, the owner, was in the yard gardening or walking from her suite (in the back of the property) to her car (in the front of the property) each & every day... morning & night. 2. The hot tub had a strict "no beverages policy"... even though the clip on the website from the Rick Mercer show has them cheers'ing bottles of beer. Zoe would not budge on this rule. I expressed to Zoe how much the concept of enjoying a beer or glass of wine after surfing in the tub was to me and our guests yet, she would not make an exception to this rule. Thus... "strict rule". Final note... Wireless internet is very poor. Understandable b/c of the remote location but if you're expecting to do any work, as too many of us have to done every so often while on vacation... don't expect to find a reliable connection at the house.

Absolutely a perfect home away from home for our family. Close to the beach with lots of privacy.
