I purchased, remotely- unseen, a used power tailgate deemed "good as new" by the sales department and described as "basically new", althought the liftgate was well used and had many dents, scratches and looks rough after I paid my bill and got my van back. The shop does good work but charged me 15 hours to install the liftgate (other shops quoted 5 to 10 hours) and another 10 hours to install / wire 2 tail lights, 2 reverse lights and to make 1 cut to remove the tailpipe. I was quoted $5,804 for a brand new gate supplied and installed from Minoru truck bodies in Richmond. This new gate would have come with warranty and would in my opinion looked "as new". I provided this very same quote to BMT before they started the work on the van. I regret not having gone with the new liftgate. Lesson to me: 1. Get a quote from these guys in writing. (They "get you" by saying; "we will only bill you the time it actually will take us to do it". While you're thinking it will take them less time than they verbally quoted you.) 2. Have a look at what you are purchasing, especially if used, in person before you get it installed. 3. Don't waste 2 days travelling to Vancouver Island to drop off and pickup your vehicle thinking it's a good idea! J

Imagine getting an invoice that matches the estimate - exactly- despite having a few additional items dealt with? Fraser runs a talented shop, including Bob (foreman) who made sure all my (corrosion) issues were dealt with and the finished product looked like new. Outstanding job.

BMT is a full service shop and local small business success story. You can't possibly put out as much fantastic work as this shop, without having the odd job go sideways. As their reputation grows, so does their workload and quite honestly it's amazing they accomplish as much as they do - especially with the staffing shortages that all businesses suffer from in this region. We work with these guys frequently, and know how hard they work and how much they care about all that they do. We are proud to be associated with this quality company.

We were stranded on the island in our motorhome and scheduled to return to California. We had a friend diagnose a bad turbo on the Cat engine but couldn't find a shop that wasn't buried with fleet maintenance. William at BMT saved the day getting us in and Dean did an awesome job on the repair. As I write this we've just climbed the 10 mile Grapevine hill on I-5 north of LA. She runs cool and has plenty of power. Very grateful BMT!

I am flabbergasted that so little work could possibly cost so much money. I took my Class C motorhome to BMT for an ICBC claim and decided while it was there, I would have the oil changed, brakes checked, it was the beginning of winter, so I had it winterized ( simple operation of draining the water and filling with anti-freeze ) de- winterized when I picked it up 4 mths. later, yes , you read right....4 mths. Later. The only other thing they did was supply and install tire valve extenders on the rear wheels. $1184.50. Not in your wildest dreams could one justify such an absurd bill. I complained, they returned$201.64. Buyer beware, be sure to get a written quote.
