Hudson's Bay

Love the cosmetics department. All the ladies work as a team and are tremendously helpful! Awesome prices/value on their products. Best place to shop for your makeup/cosmetics!

A precursor- I have not been to a Hudson's Bay store in a looooong time. That being said, I was VERY impressed. The staff/ sales staff were fantastic- support helpful. What really surprised me was the wide selection of mid to high end products they offer. Some fairly big names in fashion that offer high quality products. The prices can be high, depending on the brand's you opt for. The Bay also offers many promotions and offers to encourage further visits. I could see how through these offers it could be a store frequented often.

Don't like the store. Too expensive. Staff is cordial.

A typical Bay store selection and prices. One sales associate was very rude to me when I was returning an item I had bought at full price, saying twice that they did not accept returns on clearance items (it was not a clearance or sale item) and then complaining that they had to quarantine returns for a few days. The change rooms are open, however there are no stools/seats in the rooms, which is concerning for more than one reason. You have to place your personal items and clothes on the floor unless you can figure out how to hook everything on the three hooks in the room. It is also very concerning for people who have balance and mobility difficulties who need to sit when trying on pants.

I think one star is one too many. I was in this location for far too long today looking for a few things. Until I actually sat on a display, not one 'associate' asked me if I 'needed anything'. There were more staff wandering about and chatting with each other than there were shoppers. Terrible service all around, looking past and through you to avoid interaction. I was masked and complying with all distancing protocol.
