Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

How can they not be 5 stars. Solid crime fighters, nicer then the firefighters.

I may be a lot of things, but I am not a criminal. August 8 I was stopped by the local RCMP (Deanna Mitchell) because I didn't have a sticker on my licence plate. And upon further investigation it was "discovered" my insurance wasn't paid up either. I'll admit I don't keep up on these things 'cause stuff comes in the mail remind me to do them. Usually. I was immediately horrified, embarrassed, rattled They towed my car. Not once did I argue. So it was with profound annoyance when the officer started to bombard me with her "straightforward" approach to asking questions about - has this ever happened to you before?, when as the last time you were pulled over?, when is the last time you washed your car?, (I was parked next to the carwash) - are you having difficult time in your life (what?) do you have any concerns?, do you have any concerns?. do you have...? After all that, she remarked, "I wish I could believe you" This is the deal - I messed up. I will pay. I have the deepest appreciation and respect for what our law enforcement officers do and I did my best to cooperate and reasonable. For whatever my reasons, I take responsibility for my car. However I live in Canada and as a law abiding citizen I expect the RCMP to treat me likewise.

Had to get my criminal record check done and the ladies that helped me at the front were very patient and willing to assist. No issues and up to date with what you should expect from a federal police force.
