It was awesome. It was special. The mgr. Linda was excellent at her job.

If it was possible for 0 stars I would give it! Old , smelly , dirty to start! The power cord was missing from the TV, we ask for it and was told no tv! The window was broken in several spots! And the sink was nearly touching the toilet!

Way too expensive for what is offered. Choose a different accomodation.

Everything was old, dusty, and looked unsafe. Location is very convenient, but honestly it's not worth the money. Smelled pretty bad too. I left as soon as I viewed the room. 😔

After staying here, I feel the need to write a review, especially after reading all the really intense one-star reviews left by other guests. On the whole, this is a really good value hotel with an excellent location. Despite what is written here, I stayed for 3 nights in a room with a private bathroom and the place was very clean. At no point was I concerned about any vermin or otherwise, and the mattress was clean without any bedbugs. You can do so much worse at this price point, and I would stay here again next time I'm back in Vancouver. It's at least as good as any Hostel International in the city and I'd recommend it to other backpackers. The house loses a star because the walls are quite thin, and all it takes is one noisy neighbour in the middle of the night. Also the front lobby does smell weird. It's not cat pee, as other commenters noted, but it is.... weird. The smell goes away in your room, though!
