Mr. Pet's

Foods like Oxbow are not suitable for hamsters as they are hay based and provide little nutritional value. Mr. Pet's carries the quality brand that I have not seen in another pet store so far (Versele-Laga Nature Hamster). I am also pleased that I have not noticed any Critter Trail cages at Mr. Pet's as those cages are not suitable for any animal unfortunately. All in all, I say that Mr. Pet's seems more knowledgeable on pet husbandry (especially exotic pet husbandry) than other pet stores! Very pleased!

After today's visit I changed my 5 star rating to a 1 star. I was treated by an older female employee extremely rude and full of attitude. My car was blocked along with the vehicle parked beside me in the back of the business by a truck delivering to Mr. PETS. She was hanging out back smoking chatting to another fella. I asked how long will the driver be. She said," how should I know who are you!!! I said I was a customer. Ishe went silent as I think I may have caught her off guard that i knew she was an employee and walked away......Honestly, and its only my perception her, but her wavering body motion and aggressiveness towards me....I think she was high on something. But rest assured, I will not be going back to this store.

I'd give negative stars if I could. I've never experienced anything like this, in my life! I was attempting to leave the store, their delivery truck pulled up as I was walking to my car and rather than give me a minute to exit customer parking, opted to block me in. I asked the delivery driver how I was supposed to get out? And he told me that it was an ongoing issue with that store, so I waited to speak to the employee, as the driver had just rung the bell. The employee who answered the door was Andrew, the same employee who had pushed past me while I was in line in the store, with a face mask around his elbow, ever so effective. As soon as he came to the door, Andrew gave me a dirty look and when I told him that I couldn't get out, he responded with "that's your problem". I told him I was a customer and had just been in the store. To which he told me he didn't care. Of course, this upset me and since I had earlier heard him referring to his manager upstairs, I said that I wanted to speak to this person. To which Andrew told me to "f'off". As I had commented that of course, he was the same person I saw inside without a mask, when the store has signage asking people to wear them, Andrew let me know that "masks don't work" because he "knows science". Since I was clearly not getting anywhere with Andrew, I went back in my car and when I picked up my phone, he started walking around behind my car, taunting "oh, going to get on social media now, are you?" Finally the delivery truck had moved and while I was reversing, a woman in the doorway caught my attention and when I got out to talk to her, she too was giving me a dirty look and when I asked if she was the manager, as I wanted to address her employee's behaviour, she refused to answer. Fantastic customer service 👍 There are so many better places to spend your hard earned money in the city, especially since looking at other reviews, this is typical. In response to the owner: the pallet was delivered into your store, which is why your store employee, Andrew answered the door. But I guess if it weren't your delivery truck it would have excused your staff member from cursing at paying customers. What do these terrible staff members (based on both personal experience & previous reviews) have on you that you're keeping them around??

Great place. Wonderful selection of aquatic plants. Waited a while for some help but other than that they were lovely.

The convenience factor of this store being so close to my home means nothing. Id rather take an OverStuffed 99B-line during rush hour to any other over priced pet store Than to shop here at Mr.Pets. The staff, management, and quality of product is all very poor.
