I called this number to report a theft in progress. I pressed the prompt "8" for "non-emergency" and got a rude lady who, after I explained there was a guy going from store to store in a strip mall stealing expensive items, told me "we only deal with life or death situations due to limited resources"
So I asked her if the two speed traps I noticed earlier that day were life or death situations and she hung up on me.
That's our Police Service Winnipeg. 90 grand/year per cop for that.

I have had to visit this location on two separate occasions. Both visits involved acquiring a Police Report number concerning 'hit and run' incidents with my vehicle. On both occasions the process was very quick and efficient. Personnel were professional, helpful and friendly, which was much appreciated.
Seems like is very easy to get job at here

I went there to report a theft happening in my room and the officer with badge #1809 said me to check the rooms of people living here and if i find my stuff then i must report them lol kinda insane.
Why is police for if i am supposed to check their rooms? And also why will i report them if i get my stuff back?
The final words of the officer was we can't do anything with this and i myself have to find my stuff.
Never expected this from canadian police.
I will say sir 300$ stuff will be less for you but for we indians its more than 15,000 rupees. Our parents are earning this we are not getting it from money plant.
Officer with badge # 2104 referred to me as "sweetie". She patted me on the hand as if to humour an imbecile. Retrain her or retire her. She is not fit to serve the public.
