What a joke this dept is. I see them quite often see them putting up construction signs by the ferry terminal when there is not construction go on... Must not be making their quota on tickets so they have to do this to double the traffic infractions. Put the radar guns down and fight some real crime!

I had dropped my wallet at a bench accidentally on May 15th, 2018 in the beautiful town of Sydney. I did not realize this happened until I reached Victoria Island Airport for departure hours later. Avis Car rentals allowed a staff member to the two places I travelled to to check if my wallet could be found. But no wallet could be found. Upset and dissatisfied with my loss, I received a call from Sydney's police department. My wallet was found by one of Sydney's wonderful citizans and was handed in fully intact, still with my cash in it. The police were kind enough to bring my wallet to me at the Airport before I departed. In today's world this type of kindness is seldom seen. I want to thank Sydney's wonderful people and police department for showing me that some places in this world are above and beyond. Thank you citizens of Sydney....... you will always be in my newly restored faith in people. God bless 😊

I write this post as a private citizen. My personal congratulations to Sergeant Wayne Conley on his well deserved promotion to StaffSergeant and Commanding Officer in Charge of this detachment. I personally do not know a more professional yet friendly and approachable RCMP officer with 42 years of dedication to Canadians. Congratulations Again Sir!
