My family visited this organic cocoa farm and were very impressed with the tour given by its owner. He was very patient with our limited Spanish and his passion for the cultivation and preservation of the land is evident throughout the tour. It was SO much more than cocoa trees as well - an amazing variety of trees and fruit. His explanations of their uses was fascinating. Top it all off with an opportunity to grind some fresh roasted cocoa beans with his generous family and enjoy hot chocolate before departing and you have a delicious recipe for fond memories of Bijagua!

Recommended the cocoa tour. It is an extraordinary place with a cool climate. It has a wonderful view of Tenorio volcano. They can also buy fruits and vegetables of very good quality.
