Just nice and quite little park with charm and big birds sitting on the streets

It lacks beautification and custody by the Municipality and cultural care by the community.

The Park is quite neglected, this despite being considered a site of historical value and cultural interest for commemorating the heroic deed and work carried out by these two political and military leaders during the 1856 campaign against the Filibusteros. Later, both leaders were unjustly shot by orders of government representatives who overthrew him and expelled him from the country before he assumed his third term, which he would not hold; as well as by indications of the president who took office, Mr. José María Montealegre in 1860. In this place there is also a monument dedicated to these two national heroes, and where two bronze busts are exhibited with the representation of General Mr. José María Cañas Escamilla (born on September 23, 1809 in Suchitoto, El Salvador and shot on October 2, 1860 in Puntarenas, Costa Rica), as well as Mr. President Don Juan Rafael Mora Porras (Juanito Mora), President of Costa Rica (1849-1859), born on February 8, 1814 in San José and shot on September 30, 1860 in Puntarenas.
