Wow!! Best part of this place is how close you can get to the waterfall to swim. The power of the waterfall is second to none. Extremely spiritual experience. It is 500 stairs down to the bottom and coming back up is a workout. However the maintenance of the grounds and the road in is kept up very well. Especially compared to some of the other waterfalls I explored in northern Costa Rica. When you get down to the bottom you can go to the left to find a nice calm swimming area, I recommend going and taking a dip to cool off from the walk down. If you go to the right you’ll see the waterfall. We went left first and when we went to see the waterfall our bodies were already used to the water temperature and it was easier to get into the pool the falls flow into.

The waterfall is a wonder and absolutely gorgeous. We went on a Monday in the morning and it wasn't so busy. The only part that sucked was the walk up the 500+ stairs, which only sucks if you are not in shape.

The waterfall is spectacular. And the stairs are not so bad;) Do not miss the bath in the incredibly clear water with plenty fish around. The office water temperature was fine. Entrence fee $18 made us think twice about going there,l and we do not regret it at all.

Wow what a beautiful place. Short but steep hike up and down about 400 cement steps with handrails. Incredible jungle waterfall experience in a relatively short amount of time. If stairs kill your knees you are going to suffer. Stairs were strong and had good traction. Waterfall at bottom was incredible

Beautiful park with waterfall. Definitely bring a swimsuit tho. Entry fee is 18 dollars.
